I had the opportunity to support the amazing guitarist Neil Campbell for his gig at Bishops House 13/04/18.

I’m rebuilding my midi foot controller from scratch, adding some extra features. Most importantly, a pair of switches to change banks. In order to display the current bank, I’ve started working with a 7 segment LED and after a little persuasion, it’s now showing the number 1. It’s a common cathode type, so thankfully only requires one current-limiting resistor.
The child in me is going “wow – I’ve made flashing lights!” but I’m sure the more complex array coding required for numbers 2-9 will bring me back down to earth 😉
We’ve just spent two days fueled with creative adrenalin to lay the groundwork for our first album. Endless thanks to Jan Todd, who “rode the faders” and to Mrs A, who supplied gastronomic delights 😉
